Air Noise Boundaries

  • February 26, 2020

QLDC Councillors have stated that they expect Queenstown Airport Corporation to deliver a strategic plan demonstrating how it intends to maintain its long term operational functionality while prioritising, amongst other things, continuing to live within the established noise boundaries. While there will be plenty of opportunities for pushback from QAC, this is an important public statement by Councillors, supporting the community’s rejection of plans to increase the boundaries to allow a significant escalation in aircraft movements and passenger numbers at Frankton (see our Submission made at the Council meeting yesterday).
