KPCA’s half year General Meeting will take place on Wednesday, the 28th of October at 7pm at the Queenstown Golf Club. Two items of business:
- The latest detailed plans for the ongoing landscaping of Jardine Park. After the successful Spring plantings (2,600 seedlings), we are looking at the development of the natural playground, together with a trial disk golf course, and stage 1 park and fence detail (which will include new car parking arrangements). Katie Deans, the Landscape Designer, and Briana Pringle, QLDC Parks & Open Spaces Planning Manager, will introduce the detailed planning and answer questions.
- Update on Emergency Response preparations. We didn’t need a reminder of how random emergency events can be, but the destruction of Lake Ohau Village by wildfire is a shocking example. If you have not registered with our emergency response household contact list, please do so – go to the Emergencies page of this website.
The meeting will be relatively informal, with the Bar open from the start. Everybody on the Peninsula is welcome; bring a friend or neighbour.
