The Queenstown Airport is about to release its much awaited Master Plan for public consultation. This will set out how the Airport plans to deliver on its 10-Year Strategic Plan released in September last year. Chief Executive, Glen Sowry, who spoke at KPCA’s 2022 AGM, said at the time: “One of the key decisions we have taken is to plan for moderate and sustainable growth and not to seek an expansion to the existing Queenstown Airport noise boundaries“. There will be a variety of ways of engaging with the Airport during the consultation phase of the draft Master Plan, but a meeting tailored to residents most closely affected by the continued growth in passenger numbers would be a good start. To that end, Frankton Community Association has invited members of KPCA to join them at a presentation by Queenstown Airport on Tuesday, 30 May 2023 at 7pm at the Remarkables Primary School. If you are interested in attending this meeting, please reply to talk2kpca@gmail.com so we can tell FCA how many people are likely to attend. That will also enable us to provide you with link to the Master Plan document when it is released and notify you of any change of venue. |
